2012-13 Season REMINDER: COACHES ARE TO SUBMIT GAME STATS WEEKLY Katie Osborne 2013 Female Travers Award Winner Katie Osborne is the first female winner of the M&T Bank John Travers Award from Greenwood. Osborne, a field hockey and softball player bound for Wake Forest University in the fall on a field hockey scholarship, is the first female but second winner from the Tri-Valley League school. Todd Shipp was the first winner from Greenwood in 2001. It was clear by the reaction when Osborne was announced as the winner, she didn't expect to hear her name. "My first thought was 'did they just say my name?' Reading the bios of the other finalists, they were all so impressive to me," said Osborne, who grew up on a dairy farm. "I don't think I've fully realized a little dairy farmer from Perry County just won this prestigious award. "I was just so proud to be up there with all the other finalists."
